So. I need to buy me a winter coat. It’s my first time buying one, so I have no idea what I should be looking out for. Random info that you might need to help me: I’m in Canada, and apparently it gets seriously cold here, so I would like to get something that will keep me super-warm and is durable. And I feel really really cold when I’m walking around outside, so I’ll do all the layering etc, but I’m hoping to get a coat that’ll keep me as warm as possible too. Please help! I need all the advice I can get!
Re: Help please!
Look for 100% wool when buying winter coats, or if it's a jacket, it should have down in it (feathers). Long coats are really awesome, up to knee length is good cuz longer and then it's just dragging in the snow. Jackets IMO should cover the butt at least, cuz you'll see shorter jackets and they're ok but when it's like -35 outside it doesn't help.
Re: Help please!
OK, thank you. I do plan on getting a longer coat, because I feel really cold. And I don't like the wind. So, yes, I was thinking knee length too. Anyone else with more input? Maybe suggest a few styles too?
Re: Help please!
In terms of style go with classics because a good coat costs a lot of money, and you don't want it to go out of fashion the next winter.
