I am in a panic mode at the moment due to a “freak accident”. I’m calling it a freak accident, when in reality this entire mess could’ve been avoided. In a nutshell, my custom-made nikkah dress got lost in transit from Pakistan. Now I find myself in a very sticky situation because my nikkah is in 11 days from today (in shaa Allah). Unfortunately, because of the lack of time I can’t order another custom dress, so I will have to settle for an off-the-rack one. I happen to live in a Canadian city that lacks desi boutiques that sell good quality dresses. The ladies that sell dresses from home have nothing available on such short notice. I will have to make a spontaneous trip to Toronto - my nearest city. I need information about shops/home based designers or sellers I should visit that carry off-the-rack dresses I can pick up and get altered, if need be. Please, please, pleaseeeee someone in Toronto, help me!!!
In Milton, Ontario (close to Mississauga and Oakville) there are two boutiques I know of. Naz Fashion Bug and Paisleys and Bia. I have seen ready made and very pretty bridal outfits at both. There is a third store that opened up in the same location (these are literally next door to each other). Call them up, tell them your size and ask them what colours they have available and a price point. Hopefully they’ll have something.
I second Naz Fashion Bug boutique. Seen a few pictures of formals and bridal lehngas that a friend bought for her wedding recently. They all look really pretty.

All the stores Sehrysh has mentioned, you should be alright finding a dress suitable for a Nikkah ceremony. I wold suggest Paisleys, I buy most of my clothes there and can vouch for her quality and work. However be prepared that it will run you quiet a bit. The range I am being told right now is $850 and up just for formal wear. So anything remotely bridal would be definitely in the 1,000 CAD and up range.

Thank you so much for the help! I had the craziest nikkah day (although, that is another long story). I ended up finding the perfect nikkah dress at Saira Sheikh’s bridal boutique in Mississauga. She was very hospitable, and did everything to accommodate me. I initially fell in love with a floral work kameez, however I was not a fan of the dupatta it came with. Saira personally took a dupatta off another mannequin to turn the outfit around for me. I was very lucky to find the perfect outfit under such crazy circumstances. Allhamdulilah.
