Greetings everyone…
This is my first post on this forum… I am a great fan of urdu/punjabi poetry, but I find it a little hard to understand, but believe me I am willing to learn, I got an A in olevels urdu 
I wanted someone who is well versed in the poetry of baba bulleh shah to explain the lyrics of ‘tere ishq nacha kar thaya thaya to me’
I would appreciate that
Spock, I also want to learn more about Baba Buleh Shah’s poetry. DEspite being punjabi, I have hard time understanding his kafis. As far as I know his Kafi or the aforementioned poetry " Teray ishq nachaya kar kay thanyan thanyan" was written when his Master or guru , Baba Shah Inayaat decided to teach him a lesson in humility. THus Shah Inayaat didn’t speak to him for a long period on account of Buleh Shahs display of inappropriate treatment with one of his guru’s man.
ANd then when Buleh Shah learned his lesson and Bab Shah Inayat forgave him, it is said that he wrote this famous poetry, “Mera piya ghar aaya.”
Well, as for the translation or interpretation, I’ll see if I can find something or if I manage to ask somebody I’ll post it here. So far, this brief context to that would do. However, I would recommend that u visit http://:www:apna.org.

I really like Bulleh Shah's poetry ...It speaks to me too clearly
