Okay people! So I have an issue & only have till tonight to solve it. I am not even sure if this is the appropriate forum or not but I need help right now.
Does anyone know where I can get an Arabic birth certificate translated into English in Chicago? Its a U.A.E certificate. I can translate it into English my self but I need a proper authority since I have to show the document to the county clerk. They told me that I can go to the consulate of the country & unfortunately there is no U.A.E embassy/consulate in Chicago. Since its Eid now I can’t find anyone locally. like an Arabic Sheikh maybe. I am thinking abt translating it myself & then getting it notarized. Will that be legally okay? I dun wanna call the county clerks office & ask them.
P.S I need the translated certificate by tomorrow early morning.
Do u really think the Arabic department of any university will be open today because of Eid ? I dun mind paying I just dun have enough time & wanna make sure I m doing it the right way. U said I could do it myself & get it notarized & its okay. Then I guess I'll do it myself. Thanks as always Spock.
Still if anyone knows someone (like maybe one of u guys have an Arabic friend & their dad is a imam or some higher authority anywhere in the community) who can translate it pls post.
^ Though it depends, Ive noticed many professors who teach arabic are christian arabs. I am sure there will be atleast one person in that department to help you out; call before you go though.
The notary path will work because I know you can do that with your birth certificate and get it notarized and they'll accept it.
