Help needed from my resourceful cohorts

The topic of Indian cricket team’s outfit came up yesterday in this thread and a fellow guppie commented that India’s outfit was the worst amongst all . And I actually kind of agree with him.

However, I recalled that in 1994 when India toured New Zealand, the Indian team wore a dark-blue (more like navy-blue) outfit for the ODI series. That one I really liked and wondered why India did not continue with that.

That set me searching for pictures from the 1994 tour (ODI Series) to have a second look at the outfit. However, all my efforts so far has been in vain. I have also tried Google Image Search and Cricinfo without success.

So is there anybody who can help with a picture of any Indian player in the dark-blue outfit from the 1994 tour. I am referring to this series :

the best way is to search indian forums for the match, if you cant find the match you can try this website as well www.gettyimages.com

Turns out the Indian Team was wearing that Navy Blue uniform even during the 1992 World Cup

Hmmm! I share your thoughts on this. Pakistan also started with Dark Green with Yellow patches/stripes that became ever so popular among fans, and now some where down the line Pakistan ends up with this Light Green color ( I don’t like ) while SA and BD some how ended up with Dark Green colors.

Indians should have the present Sri Lankan colors Dark Blue. imo :jhanda:

Yes, dark green during the 2003 World Cup was awesome. The 1999 World Cup kit was also good, but I wouldn’t want to be caught wearing such bright colors in public! The current color just sucks, makes Pakistani players look like lemons! I think India’s dark blue kit is quite nice Some1, get off the dope :smiley: .

Ditto! Thats why we still see the Odl Dark Green tops in the stands. The lemon green is way to dollish to be worn for any other reason,

I don't get it...I also said the same thing...that India's dark blue kit (like they had in WC 1992) was good as compared to what they have today.
Not sure if you are agreeing with me on that.

*Oops, missed a line in your post! So yeah, I agree with your point about the dark blue kits being better. They need to start wearing those during matches as well.
