Help needed for crossword question

Hi All

I’m trying to work out the answer to this crossword clue … it should be fairly easy … the clue is

“An over-worked postman”

I asked the question and what most people ask especially regarding crosswords is “how many letters?” - In order to find the right word that fits in the slots allocated.

But the joke is that the questioner says something like “two bags full” or “thousands” then it makes the responder realise that there was never a crossword in the first place it was just a joke to make them ask “how many letters” - because an over-worked postman will only be over-worked if he has thousands of letters to deliver …
