i’ve a bit dark complexion n m not much into makeup. don know how to apply simple makeup

well no one can suggest u foundation shade unless they know exactly abt ur complexion..Go to shop and use testers to try the shade that suits ur skin the most and get it...

@neha does da foundation color need to match skin tone aur shdu bb lighter? if lighter then how much shades lighter then skin color. 2ndly ny gud foundation brands?

Make also sure that when you go to a shop, u ask for a tester en test the foundation for a few days for the fallowing:
Colour, does it match your skin colour. If you want a lighter colour u should make sure that it only 1 or 2 tint lighter and it does not look artificial. you know that you ARE wearing tons of make up. Also look at the fact that it the foundation is not to of, like if you have a yellow skin undertone it not to yellow.
Does it suit ur skin, the shopworker will make sure that if you have a oily or a dry skin, you will have a foundation that matches your skin type. But like you said you want to wear it on party, so there it is always warm and in that conditions it should stay on all night and not melt off.
ALSO VERY IMPORTANT IS the fact then when they apply the foundation on your face, you should go and look in DAYLIGHT if is good or not, because the lightning in shops is mostly not the best to guide.

yup they have extensive lighting in shops and you can get the wrong color, so try to step out of the shop and check the color prolly on ur hand. or even on ur face.

Foundation should ALWAYS match your skin colour! ..infact if applied properly, it should look like your skin

Apply the foundation with a MAC 190 or 187 brush.
As for the shade - you really have to try it on yourself - no one here can suggest the right shade for you. If you have a warmer skintone, please make sure you go for a yellowish base foundation. If you have a cooler skin complexion, go for something with a pink undertone.
Your skin can look ashy if the foundation isn't matched correctly.

go for loreal infliable foundation shade 140 and test it on you jawbone thatshhow yu select a foundation.its excellent and blends well ,and no body feels it you applied anything.
