I want to make asian version of tiramasu. I have made with marie biscuits before (yeah I know this is not real tiramasu) but this time want to use trifle sponge fingers. Will that work? I cannot get the actual Italian spongers fingers which is used to make tiramasu. So if I use trifle sponge will it turn out disaster has anyone done this?

I used sponge fingers in the end it turned out okay to me.

Chick. biryani: It bugs me too why they call it lady fingers as I imagine bhindi and dessert -ewww. Not only that, they also called boudoir biscuits too-don't know why.
