help need tips for leg.....

i have this problem with waxing, that it hurts too much, i use to wax alot, but now im just real sensitive that i can’t wax anymore,(cuz of hormones changes) i tried the hair removing cream, it gave me allergies all over my legs… tried shaving and that gave me bloody bumps all over… please any good tips of better shaving or anything tired of hairy legs and pain… :frowning:

Re: help need tips for leg.....

Shaving your legs will never get any better, the hair is cut at an angle so grows back in all sharp and its the sharp points that cause those ugly red bumps.

The only thing I can think of is to go back to waxing but maybe try a numbing agent on your skin before they do the wax. Solarcaine (for sunburns) numbs your skin, there are also stronger numbing agents that you might be able to get from a dermatologist. In desperation, I one time used the anbesol (the numbing agent for teeth lol!) when I waxed a particularly sensitive area and it worked. But i think solarcaine would have been better. You can use that as often as you want and it also has healing agents in there, like aloe so even after its done, just keep applying it till no more pain. Worth a try....

aww i m with u girl. this is perhaps the 1 and the only thing i hate abt being a girl......arghhhhh. waxing hurts too much....shaving is bad as hair grows coarser...hair creams make yr skin go dark...blah blah blah so the only option is waxing but it hurts 2 much..........:(:(:(....just got mine done 2day thats y i can totally understand yr situation. but i neva heard abt these numbing agents..tx i mite try them.

Re: help need tips for leg.....

uhh i always shave mine..and sumtimes do get red bumps and cuts here and there..but it works..cuz not only waxing hurts but it also makes ur skin stretchy and loose..

Re: help need tips for leg.....

Epilady...works great for me...I know Brauns has one..other company has differnt too..but these one do take the hair outta the root..so eventually less growt..and there isnt as much mess and pain as the waxing..u do need to expoliate after it to prevent ingrown hair..which can be a problem...the exfoliating gloves r the best bet...with soap:)...
