Is it a dressy affair? You could wear a long plain dress with a shrug or something. I would reccommend Debenhams or Monsoon. If not a dress would look better, around knee high if you’re comfortable in tights or legging. If not you could go with a casual blouse and office pants, maybe stick a casual cardigan or those casual waistcoats that are in H&M nowadays.

i’d go for this one, black knee high dress with leggings, it always looks good and decent, i have worn it in many of my formal company dinners.
