Help me!!

I need to go for this dinner [work related] with my hubby next month where the dress code is business casual.

I don’t like bright colors and I tend to stick to blacks and greys :bummer:…Anyway, I don’t mind venturing into purples and fawns and ummm maybe olive greens..I think I should be OK with tea pinks and lavendars also…

So keeping that in mind, please suggest what I could wear [non desi, of course]. Something conservative, yet elegant. I have to buy it next week.

Re: Help me!!

Match it/Contrast it with your husband's clothings (shirt, tie etc)

Re: Help me!!

I tried to match some outfits for you ..hope you like them :)

and I can't paste images :( it says Copy to your clipboard ..what next ?

Re: Help me!!

^
So you cick on "copy" and paste it here

Re: Help me!!

Just wear nice slacks and a blouse

BR Blouse and this BR Pant with pumps

AT Blouse, the dusty pink would look great with gray pants or a skirt and then add some pearls, really simple but elegant.

Neutral Pumps: Gold or Nude

I have AT Pumps and they are very comfortable and very chic.

Re: Help me!!

Is it a dressy affair? You could wear a long plain dress with a shrug or something. I would reccommend Debenhams or Monsoon. If not a dress would look better, around knee high if you're comfortable in tights or legging. If not you could go with a casual blouse and office pants, maybe stick a casual cardigan or those casual waistcoats that are in H&M nowadays.

Re: Help me!!

A floor-length backless gown. Plunging necklines are so passé.

Re: Help me!!

i'd go for this one, black knee high dress with leggings, it always looks good and decent, i have worn it in many of my formal company dinners.

Re: Help me!!

My husband doesn’t like the match the husband deal :nahi:.

No knee length dresses.

Maroush :hayaa:

Can you post pics of that H& M waistcoat?

Re: Help me!!

Surprised to see that. My wife, on the other hand, loves to match in every party we go  I thought that would be creative.

Anyway, may be your husband does not want people to recognize right away that you are together :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Help me!!

omg omg omg ogm omg ogm omg omg omg.

Wait. Okay.

Re: Help me!!

Actually, that trend is very predictable and common now. People don't need to know we're a couple by our clothing :p

Re: Help me!!

This is actually true, I must admit. However, there are many things that are ancient by their nature and application but we do them because we love them. So by all means go against the advice. haha
