I need to go for this dinner [work related] with my hubby next month where the dress code is business casual.
I don’t like bright colors and I tend to stick to blacks and greys …Anyway, I don’t mind venturing into purples and fawns and ummm maybe olive greens..I think I should be OK with tea pinks and lavendars also…
So keeping that in mind, please suggest what I could wear [non desi, of course]. Something conservative, yet elegant. I have to buy it next week.
Is it a dressy affair? You could wear a long plain dress with a shrug or something. I would reccommend Debenhams or Monsoon. If not a dress would look better, around knee high if you're comfortable in tights or legging. If not you could go with a casual blouse and office pants, maybe stick a casual cardigan or those casual waistcoats that are in H&M nowadays.

i'd go for this one, black knee high dress with leggings, it always looks good and decent, i have worn it in many of my formal company dinners.
Actually, that trend is very predictable and common now. People don't need to know we're a couple by our clothing :p
This is actually true, I must admit. However, there are many things that are ancient by their nature and application but we do them because we love them. So by all means go against the advice. haha
