Help me to solve an equation..

please!

Maybe a little off topic, but need some help to solve an equation. Solve for n

nF/s+c = c+1/bn

Thanks in advance :slight_smile:

Re: Help me to solve an equation..

Can you show us ur work too?
I think the answer is n= (c+1)(s+c)]/bF

Re: Help me to solve an equation..

No the answer is supposed to be n= square root of 1/b x s/F

i just need help with the intermediate results after subtracting c

The c will be subtracted from both sides as we are solving for n

Re: Help me to solve an equation..

larki use parentheses next time.. I mistook it for nF/(s+c) = (c+1)/bn..
anyways
"C'' is gonna be cancelled out... ur left with nF/s =1/bn .. multiply bn and nF to get n^2bF =1 .. and I hope u can take it from here :)

Re: Help me to solve an equation..

nF/s+c = c+1/bn

=>
nF/s = 1/bn

Multiply n on both sides

=>
n^2 F/s = 1/b

Multiply S/F on both sides

=>
n^2 = 1/b x S/F

n = under root of 1/b x S/F

Which class are you in btw?

^2 means squared here.

omg....this takes me back......
