So I wanted to name my daughter iba (rhymes with hiba) but there are some confusion with the meaning.
There are few other names that stood out to me but I am confused. Please tell me if they sound good
illiyeen (people of highest rank in jannah)
Marhama (with mercy and kindness in heart)
Ruhama (one with reham: mercy)

Us Desi folks name our kids "saliheen" and "mursaleen" and we don't realize that the "een" ending indicates a plural. For instance, saliheen means righteous people....the correct form of the name would Salih....which refers to one righteous person. That said, I would look into illiyeen...is there a singular form of the name? Your daughter is a singular person...wahid...not plural or jamaa...if that makes sense.
I don't know if the name Marhama will be teased as Marhaba or Marhooma. That's something to consider. I have not heard the name, Ruhama, but a girl at a former school that I taught at was named Rahmah. So. That is an option as well.
JazakAllah great suggestion I had no clue that illiyeen is a plural form. A singular form would be illiya. It is just too close to Aliya so I will always be telling people that her namw us not Aliya it's iliya.
I am not after a super unique name I just want a name that really appeals to me and doesn't remind of of someone that I already know and doesn't like :p

What about ariba?
Muniba
Adiba
Laiba
All are great names I actually really like the meaning of muniba but I just don't like the sound of it.
A variant of Aliya might be A’laa. A girl at the Muslim school had that name. An Arabic name that sounds similar to Iliyeen is Ilyana…or Liyana…and they both mean soft/tender…they don’t mean people of high rank. So, that’s an option too.
Rabiya! Biya can be used as her nickname. I got the inspo from mann mayal. =)
Be'ah [be, ye, ain, chhoTii he], meaning 'allegiance' in itself is a beautiful name...
