Sis in law has to complete one of those stupid test paper thingies but i;m too thick to figure this out.
A man owns a wolf, donkey and cabbage and needs to transport his posessions across the river in a rowing boat which is only alrge enough to hold himself and one posession. The cabbage cant be left along with the donkey, and teh donkey cant be left with the wolf. How can he move his stuff safely across the river?

OK good you've figured it out...i had one similar...you have a man in a two seater car...he passes a bustop...Its raining severely...at the bustop there is an old woman who is ill and in desperate need to go to the hospital...there is his best friend whos waving at you for a life...and then there is the most sexy gal you have ever seen winking at you...who do you take???

I;ve heard this one before ... I think the answer goes something like:
You give your car keys to the best friend, asking him to take the old woman to the hospital and spend some alone time with the girl.

Correct:D...My answer was ridiculous...i had the old woman in the passenger seat...the sexy girl under my wheel and my friend in the boot...Slightly off...

I am still trying to work out the advanced version of that problem
A cop, A prisoner, Mom, Dad, Daughter1, Daughter2, Son1, Son2, all on one side of the river. One boat. All have to go to the other side.
Only mom, dad and policeman know how to row the boat
Mom and Dad can’t be left alone with kids of opposite gender (If Dad is gone leaving one or both boys behind, the mom will beat the hell out of the boys and vice versa)
The prisoner MUST remain with the policeman at all times
The boat can hold ONLY 2 people at one time 
Has anyone done it ?
