Aoa all,
My pregnancy is causing me itchy skin, not to forget the dry winter is making my skin worse. I have read that using a shower gel with oatmeal in it can help this condition…
Any idea if such a thing is available in the Gulf region… we do have boots, bodyshop and sephora… so if there is anything available in these stores pls mention it…

i hear cocoa butter is really good during pregnancy, it moisturizes and prevents strechmarks

get some nice thick body butters from body shop wagerah and apply after taking shower, or my personal fave is oive oil after the shower, esp at night, you will have nice moist sking all day.
I think it would be easier for you find a shower scrub with oatmeal in it as opposed to a shower gel. Plus, I think that a body scrub would contain more of the oatmeal and it’s nutrients as opposed to a gel.
Of course, fresh oatmeal would be more beneficial and is an option. Here are some products that I’ve found.

Boots botanicals range have products with oatmeal in them.
U can easily get the Johnson's oatmeal shower cream, Aveeno is REALLY good.
Aveeno costs over 20 dollars here... :( ... I will look for the Johnson and Johnson one in Carrefour

Have you considered making you're own scrub with oatmeal?
no I haven't come across any tried and tested recipes
In a muslin cloth, drop 4 tablespoons of milk powder and 3 tablespoons of ground oatmeal. 2 tablespoons of honey...tie it and rub it over u're body.
so just came back from Boots and Carrefour...none of them carry a single body wash or shower gel with oatmeal :( ... ended up buying olay shower gel with almond oil hope it works...

I would go for the Aveeno one. When my sister was little and before Aveeno became available on the market, her doctor prescribed the Aveeno range of washes/creams. It has cleared up her eczema with continuous use.

Try something with Shea Butter in it, highly moisturizing. For the dryness, you can also get Eucerin's relieve for itchy skin moisturizer, it helps alot.
