Help me design my gharara ASAP!

I need to have my design finalised within the next couple of days for my gharara for nikah & baraat in July. The colours I’ve decided on are wine/burgundy and gold. Should I have it either

  • all one colour (kameez & gharara) i.e. in wine with gold embroidery and crystals

OR

  • gold kameez in banarsi with gold embroidery and crystals, wine gharara and dupatta in chiffon with gold embroidery and crystals?

What I mean about a gold kameez is similar to this, but with a wine coloured dupatta obv http://www.paklinks.com/gsmedia/files/52884/2.jpg

I like the style of this kameez, the way the embroidery arches around and doesn’t cover the tummy area lol but I’m unsure :S

What does everyone think would look better, bearing in mind it’ll be long chiffon sleeves that are also embroidered with crystal work? Which material would be better? Should I stick with both kameez and gharara in chiffon or should I have a banarsi kameez instead?

If anyone has any other ideas then I’d love to hear them and I’m having trouble visualising both options, if someone could pull out pictures of what I mean then I’d be soo grateful!

Re: Help me design my gharara ASAP!

gold shirt, gold dupatta, wine gharara. i find contrast more appealing than one colour all-over.

i'm not a fan of the red gharara you posted as it is- there's too much happening. do a heavily worked tone on tone gold shirt like the first link you posted with the kaam that you like from the second pic.

keep the wine banarasi bottom free of kaam overall with the only kaam being on the gote at the knee and the border at the bottom. have more gold in the kaam than wine because as it is, the red on red kaam on the bottom isn't even showing because the banarsi print is so hectic.
