Anyone know how I can replace my Nadra card? im due to go to pakistan in February 2014. :frowning:

has anyone here had theirs replaced in the uk? what documents are required and how long did it take.

any help would be greatly appreciated and if you know when Nadra people will next be around in UK do let me know

I think you just file a police report for a lost card, and take that report to the embassy, where a NADRA desk should be permanently stationed. Just apply for replacement of a lost card. They will need to see the police report. You should get a new one within a couple of weeks.

Just go to embassy and Nadra will do the work for you. Within 4 weeks you should get a replacement card.

if you have the photocopy of it, bring along it speeds up the process

Dont have a photocopy of it sadly! :( Ive looked on the website and it says I need my parents nadra card in order for them to issue me with a new one. I also will need birth certificate passport etc.

^^^^Then you are in the dark alley. Get a Pakistani visa on your foreign passport, and then get it from Pakistan where you have lived and have permanent address.

I lost my card in Pakistan and had problem coming back home as immgratio would not let me board my plane without it but eventually managed to get back by pulling a favour from someone high up in the department. It is much easier getting a Nadra card here than in Pakistan. I think I just went to the embassy and told nadra that I lost the card and they had all my details already and issued a new card. I don't think they asked me for any extra documents.

^ Arshad when did you do that was it recent? I think its best to get a visa from here.

It was 3/4 years ago. If you get a visa and try to get a nadra card in Pakistan then you have to go to a police station and register an FIR and it is a hassle and you may have to pay bribes. I think the things that you mentioned are required for a new card and you may not need them if you are getting a lost card reissued to you. It maybe worth talking to Nadra as they are generally very helpful

Documents/Information required

  • Copy of lost POC (POC number is mandatory).

Note: - If POC was issued before the year of 2008 then all relevant documents are required.

Found this on their website. All you need is a number and ideally a copy of the card if the card was issued after 2008. I don't know if there are different rules for Pakistani identy card and NICOP or POC. You will technically be applying for a duplicate card.

Card Lahore may gumay tau koi police report nahn aur wilayat may gumay tau report....kia yeh khula tazad nahn?
They never asked me for police report when I applied for duplicate.

Sadly my card was issued way before 2008 so I guess I will need to take all the relevant documents. Im heading to the London embassy on friday wish me luck!

They have a phone number but as usual never answer!
