Also some idea abt where to get clothes for jahaiz n wedding n valima......... I dun wanna spend too much on wedding n valima dresses so not opting for designer dresses...........i would prefer taking some gold jewellery n going for a wonderful honeymoon than spending tons of money on these dresses........so something around 85 to 90 k for each dress is wat i have in mind............any ideas abt where i could go for such budgeted dresses??????

next would be venue n catering..................i plan to have my wedding at SADABAHAR lawn which is my first choice.......after that Pearl Continental..............does anyone haveidea abt their cost etc........also plz suggest any other gud venues n wedding planners along with their charges if possible

please do a search for the mua's and photographer's names that you have mentioned, there are lots of threads discussing their work and brides' experiences with them. same goes for the venue, the clothing and other shopping.

the Wedding forum already has many threads on wedding shopping, MUA, Venues and photographer in Karachi.

I could have helped you with Lahore. Am sure Khi Guppans can help you out on this.

However as general advice:

  1. It's best to book the venues as soon as your dates have been decided as the good venues get jampacked booked very soon esp if your shadi is after Eid then it's best to book in like at least 8-10 months in advance.

  2. Gold's prices is rising exponentially. It would be best to start with your jewellery first or if you don't want to do it so early at least buy gold bars so that you can save money. Also invest in silver jewellery and semi precious stones for your frequent wear little sets. Don't make the bridal set too heavy. It's just a waste of money and you hardly wear it after.

  3. Next you can start looking for fabric for all your unstitched clothes and kaams and embroideries. Set yourself a budget and then decide accordingly

  4. It's better to book your MUA too at least 4-5 months in advance as all of them tend to raise their prices near Eid.

i post a thread about my sister's shopping in karachi. plez do check that.

i would suggest you to go to jabeen and plk for bridal dress. they have best quality dresses. bridal starts from 70k

for MUA.

sabs- qadir is good and for saba, well it all depends on your luck. sometimes she does a very good make up but sometimes she ruin it. all depends on how busy she is .

shamain- i saw a bride recently, she was looking pretty, her make up is just ok, not that wow and not that bad

bina khan- her make up is mostly natural looking, sometimes, it seems the bride is not even wearing make up. if you are wearing red then i wont suggest bina khan but recently i notice she had improved her make up alot.

aliya tippu - her make up is usually heavy foundation and dark make up. dont really like it

rest of the MUA you mension. i dont know much about them

btw does shamain have any fb or website

Yes it is a matter of luck as well, even some times a small parlour bride's makeup turns out well and some times famous parlours artist makeup looks horrible ...

I had a very good experience with Cistre, 6.5 years ago.

I've seen good work by Sabs and Shamain as well. If you search through this forum, you'll find plenty of information about most of those MUAs.
