Help in Pakistan

Okay, I don’t know where to post this but since it is sort of career related I will post it here.
There is a woman in Faisalabad, Pakistan that we are trying to help out and it just hit me that instead of helping her with money why not spend that money to get her some sort of training or education so that she can get a job. She is already teaching but because her husband has cancer and she has kids, its not enough. I believe she has a BA and has been teaching for ages now.
So, what kind of programs are available in Pakistan which can get her a good job where she can support her family without relying on outside help?
I know in the US u can get associates degree and get jobs as assistants in the medical field and make pretty decent money, does Pakistan have anything like that?
Secondly, what other ways are there for us to help her longterm? The only thing i can think of is education.

Re: Help in pakistan

refer her to Kashf Foundation http://www.kashf.org/site_files/default.asp They should be able to help her.

Re: Help in pakistan

it seems like she has a decent educational background that can be further groomed based on what she wants to do. Are you sure she’s interested in vocational training?

would she be interested in business opportunities?

if so, then check out http://win.org.pk for business opportunities for women.

if it’s only training based options that interest you / her… then the Polytechnic Institute for Women in Faisalabad may be an avenue worth exploring:

Re: Help in Pakistan

Thanks for your help guys, i will pass on the info.

I haven't actually spoken to her about this, this was just something in my head since my mother was sending some money over, i figured instead of just sending money here and there, why not try to get her help to help herself.
