I wash my hair almost every day and I HAVE to blowdry with a volumizing mousse, if I let it airdry my hair looks really flat and frizzy and really thin…I hate blowdrying every day and I know its not healthy for my hair because of the intense heat…but I can’t help it…I don’t feel right about the way I look if I just let it air dry…Also, since I have thin hair, if I skip a day of washing my hair, it gets oily and gross…what can I do? help!
Re: Help! I'm Addicted to Blowdrying!
You can use any product that protects from heat, spray it on before blowdrying/straightening.
Do oiling on a very regular basis.
Apply different home-masks, like mayo & egg to ur hair once or twice a week. For High intake of protein.
Damaging ur hair is not a very smart thing to do, so try to find an alternative for it.

Re: Help! I’m Addicted to Blowdrying!
I have fine hair as well, but I never blow dry my hair. The reason being that I’m trying to grow my hair out to my waist…and blow drying creates more split ends.
For oily hair…it’s recommended to use a clarifying shampoo as it removes grease and residue. I use Suave Clarifying shampoo…and my hair does not get oily every day. I can go a day without shampooing.
Round brushes as shown below…are recommended for creating volume. You throw your head down…so your hair hangs down in front of your yes…and brush. Straighten your head…brush hair back. A few strokes from a round brush (I find) gives me volume…I don’t have to use the blow dryer. You can even try working in the volumizing mousse…and then brushing it with a round brush.
