**I know they are a lot of questions, ANY help from you guys will be helpful. I am so scared that I won’t be able to do all the things I wanna do..this is going to be like a vacation for me and I wanna avail any opportunity to enjoy myself. ** Thanks in ADVANCE for all your help.
I can only answer to your inquiry about electronic items. You can easily buy a voltage convertor from Best Buy here (assuming you are in the U.S) or or from any electronic store for that matter.
For answers to your other questions, wait till a local guppy replies to your queries. Regarding shampoons though, you can buy most of the brands however I am not aware of the ones you mentioned. You should take a couple of them with you but make sure you put them in the checked in luggage as they do not allow any liquid-based items in carry ons.

thanks for your help asif, yes i am aware of the liquid restriction. I just wondered if I could get the same brands over there then I won’t have to take them thus saving some room for other stuff… about the electronic system, I wanted to buy one from Pakistan and keep it there for my use. I did go to best buy to buy the converter but they suggested (it was a paki guy) that I get it from Pakistan and that a power converter is cheaper in pak. Thanks for your help again, I hope somebody from pak replies..its just that its my first time and I am a bit anxious..i guess that’s natural.
Nadia- If you are in Islamabad you can get a excellent array of beauty supplies/shampoos and makeup at Shaheen Chemists and Wilsons (Multiple locations).
For art classes contact Huner Kada.
Islamabad has Cotton n Cotton, Bareeze, Generation, Maria B, Khaddi but not HSY.
Please take the converter with you or you will spend the first week trying to figure out where you can buy it from in ISB/RWP.
Have fun- Islamabad is a great place!
well..not all straighteners work in paki wid the voltage converter..conair and revlon would work..but CHI does not work there .. i tried it using w/o the converter and i burned my new CHI..so plz dont try!! Shampoos n stuff.....its gonna b hard to find for the products you r talking about..so its better to take em wid u..and since u r going for a couple of days..one bottle will do it!
Cant help wid other things..i usually go to karachi..so i dont know much about islbd
hmm, if your in Islamabad, i suggest you go to the 7th avenue mall(has most products you mentioned, alot of imported products), and also check out SUper Market and Jinnah Super Market.
manomano thanks for all your help: i went to huner kada's website but seems the online information is for last year. i will get in touch with them when i go to pakistan. **
**thanks for your well wishes, i am really excited and i am sure i will have a lot of fun. its just that i am a planner i PLAN everything so i wanted to see if i could get some information from people in pakistan before to come and visit. thanks a lot for all ur comments.

**oh my god, thanks for much for your help. i have maxiius straight iron u know the one with steam, its sooooo good. i do NOT wanna risk burning it at ALL.. ** i do realize now that the hair/makeup products i use will not be available in pakistan to so i will take them with me i can’t like withouth my CHI iron guard and redken volume spray..what can i say i think i AM shallow..lol
i CANNOT use revlon or conair straight irons, i got conair straight iron to try the other day (so i don’t have to risk my MAXI..) but i could SMELL my hair burning even though it said its ceramic..cant trust those things i tell u..
**actually i am not going for just couple of days i am going for at least two months. **

**p.s. somebody said that they took two bags of 70 pounds onstead of 60 pounds allowed by PIA right now and had to pay $25 dollar ONLY (for each bag) anybody else heard that? i wish it was TRUE, that would be awsome, i have too many things and my bags are about to explode already..please comment if u know anything about this. PIA reps are denying the whole thing by my friend swears by this.. **
just remember one rule about voltage. Pakistan has only 220-240 volts. if any of your item doesnt cover that range, it will burn with or without the plug converter, unless used with step down adaptor/transformer.
nadia dont worry about anything cuz in pakisthan they have everything. U name it they got it and as far as shopping u wont have any problem with it, they are tons of amzing stores, 2 yrs ago i went for the first time too, and i was excatly like u worryin about things , especialy for my straightner ....lol unfortunatly with the voltage problem my straightner and hairdryer died out and i have to buy a new in isloo, but everything worked out ok and good luck have a blast... if ur gona be in isloo try to go to mari (maal road) & jinasuper 4 shoppin..:)
