Hi. I am thinking of getting black or white granite counter top in my kitchen. Is it a good idea to use either of these two colors in terms of wear and tear? Like how badly do they stain or scratch?
Also any pros or cons that you can think of or have experienced with these colors or counter tops in general will be much appreciated.

I know the black granite has to be kept spotless but the black galaxy has a shine to it so it's more easier with up keep.
i think all granite is created equal in terms with scratches.
You can get the white one sealed for resistance to stains but it loses a bit of it's shine.

I think Black is much better ... the white one will have decolouring issues .. i had in one of my flats earliers .. and few times I noticed when i was doing some baking and playing around with colors .. the thing would get some color on and it was difficult to get it out ...

The purpose of using granite is that once it gets all scratched up it can be polished to a new shine again.
