i have happened to format the pc too but nothing works. i even tried registry mechanic thinking that its a registry problem but that didnt help either.

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

Like the sticky for the comp section says. You have left more questions in your post. Please specify hardware and OS and all the other good stuff. Age of hardware might be a reason. Not sure.

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

Sami, it seems like you have a fairly new computer.

A google search of the error found this
"If and when you get back up and running..do this..go to the tool bar on google earth>click on option>control>speed up your flying speed.
This causes you to lose less ram. " that seemed to have worked someone else getting the same error. But I take it you have seen and tried that already?

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

its not like i havent run earth on my pc before. it was working fine until one day…

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

reinstall should work

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

^ tried that thrice.

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

fir karo :p

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

Well u didn’t mention that before… so if it was working fine then why you didn’t restore the system to an earlier date? I still think that there is something wrong with your video settings either the system is not recognizing the driver (dlls) properly or the required resolution is not there…

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

well since i have run it before, it means that it had been detecting the required ** 1024x768, 32-bit true color screen **like u mentioned and previously had been recognizing the drivers. if i do restore my system to an earlier date, will it affect other softwares that created a system restore point later on?

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

ok i did the system restore point, and still no help. BUT this time when i was reinstalling, the installation wizard just dissapeared during installation. so i dont think its a hardware problem really.

cmon guys ek khareeb guppie ki madad kardo iss mubarak mahinay ki sab duain aapko naseeb ho. cry

o now quicktime and yahoo messenger and picasa are all showing errors and wont start.

is it a hardrive problem?? cuz all these programs were working normal till 3 months ago.

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

1st you formated and then you tried restoring, Man I wanna smoke what you are smoking

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

Well maybe you really dont need Google earth!.

I dont know but I installed it and its been working fine since then. Everything else works just fine right ?

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

What exactly are you having problems with? I don't understand.

If you say, u formatted your PC, then u will have to install the necessary drivers to have Google Earth function properly.

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

well yea its been 4 days since i formatted the pc, and i was restoring it to the point of the first day after the format when it actually worked but for once. it didnt work after a restart and has been like that since.

yaar i thght it was only a problem with google earth but now some of the programs arent functioning even after reinstallation…or they would crash during installation. i have all the drivers which is why Earth worked fine the first time. now its been giving that error jiska aapne screenshot pehli post mein dekha…
:help:

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

Well that error is not very informative. Its almost useless. Can u tell me what error do u get on other programs?
Also, if u say that other applications crash in the middle, then the common cause of this is low memory available.

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

Kiddo, just go ahead and re-format the drive again and keep an image of good installation using PQ or Norton Ghost, rest is waste of time.

Re: [HELP] Google Earth

Did you download all the windows updates after you formatted the drive?
