My wedding is coming up really soon.. just got my lengha and I really need to find a good make-up artist and someone who does contemporary glitter mehndi designs… I’m really fussy about make-up and want it to look right…
Some of my friends had there make-up done and it’s to OTT in my opinion.. they make the eyes really heavy with like so many bright shades and lipstick too. I want someone really good and time is ticking by and I can’t find anyone…

I had my make up done at her salon so she wasn't late. Best thing to do is book a time where you know that if you/she is late it won't affect the plans for the rest of the day.
On my nikkah day becaused i was the only one getting ready think i got the best treatment that day.
On my Bahrat she let another bride get ready before me because she turned up before me so i was not happy about that but i still had enough time so it was not too bad.
On the walima my sisters who were getting ready at her salon was not treated too well, she only booked a 45min slot for 5pple to get ready! n one of her staff didn't turn up and because my sisters were 15 mins late she get another group go first so my family ended up coming very late to the Walima, which they were not happy about.
but guess her make up is good...not too caked on and i was happy with the results both of my make up and that of my sisters.

I know an excellent makeup artist in Birmingham - here’s her website. For a friend’s wedding, when I said I don’t want it OTT, she listened. Unlike your average joe makeup artist, who made me look completely different that what I really look like
I know your looking for an artist closer to home, but this ones worth it.

In Manchester there is women called Basra she is really really good she did my registery make up- She uses brands such as MAC, Kryolan whatever u name it she does and has portfolios of brides and shel tell you what colour suits you best really helpful and charges reasonbaly.
She won an award for best make up artist in Asian bride magazine 2008 i think. but she defo won one

Another one she is absolutly amzaing, i mean truly amazing, Based in Macnhester called Afsheen. You can find her on facebook call Afsheen-Make-up artist. If you go to google type Rehan Siddique he is a photographer and Afsheen uses him for her bridal photo shoots and you can see some of her brides there. Most of her work is on facebook.

We used her for my sisters wedding and mashallah she did an amazing job. Her makeup is flawless and she really does listen to what her brides want on their big day.
