Help girls!

Hey girls,

I bought this satlara to wear for my baraat. Sometimes I feel like i need a chokker and sometimes I feel like I dont need one it will be too much since the pearls in this one arent that small as compared to the tradiational satlara in which the pearls are quite small. So would it be okay to wear this necklace without a choker? The earrings and necklace is the same in the last two pics I am wearing a different teeka though.. I just wanted some reassurance cause I dont it to be too much jewellery you know but i just feel sometimes i need something as a chokker..

Re: Help girls!

depends on the neckline of your baraat outfit. If the neckline doesn't have any statement kaam on it, wear a choker. If it does have it's own kaam on it, then don't. At the end of the day it's your choice, but the pearls are big enough and make enough of a statement on their own

Re: Help girls!

I've always preferred chokers to the longer necklaces because I find them more graceful and versatile....as in they can be worn again and again long after the wedding.

If you do a choker...then I would skip the satlara because that would be too much. Basically pick one....don't have both or it'll look excessive.

Also...chokers sit close to the neck.....and your earrings are quite long and heavy and they, too, reach the base of your neck. So, there may be "too much" going on around the neck area. So, if you opt for a smaller necklace instead if the satlara......then it can sit a bit lower...like where your collar bones are...and not too high up the neck if that makes sense. As KSO9 said too...it depends on the neckline of your shirt. If it's a nice deep neckline...a choker will look pretty...set it a bit lower though.

Re: Help girls!

What's a choker ?

Re: Help girls!

The shorter necklaces jo galay k saath hotay hain...they sit at the base of your neck.

Re: Help girls!

This is quite a "hearty" sath lara (sorry couldn't think of a better word lol). I think a choker would be overkill. You don't want to look too busy. You probably have kaam on the neckline of your shirt, so it will be fine as is. If you do decide to get a choker, please get a very light one.

Re: Help girls!

Thank u so much for the feedback everyone..i appriciate it and will definatley skip the chokker..cause i will have some kaam on the top part of the kameez but very light though i will use the satlara as embellishment for the upper part of the kameez...thanks guys

Re: Help girls!

Thanks.
I never knew it was called a choker.
