Im going to Pakistan from the UK for my wedding, which will take place in July/August inshallah. i live in Dina, Jhelum and i was wondering if anyone has experienced any of the beauty salons around this area. i have read the threads looking for help on beauty salons but they just seem to cover the major cities with no mention of Dina or Jhelum .
can anyone suggest any good beauticians in Dina or Jhelum that dont do the typical ‘ghostly’ looks?
i have read about all the beauty salons in Islamabad, Lahore etc. but it would mean travelling 4 hrs to Lahore to get my make up/hair done or 2 hrs to Islamabad. by the time i get home the make up would have melted in the boiling heat.
Does anyone know if any of the beauticians are willing to travel to the bride’s house?
It's better if you contact sum1 who live in that area, You don't have any friend out there ..?. And yes beauticians are willing to travel to the bride's house.... But they may charge you sum extra.
Hey everyone!! thanx for the advice and everything.
i've got rellies in Pakistan but they don't really know what we like especially when it comes to the powder/foundation whatever they call it. when you tell them to stop thats enough, they're like what!!! no it isn't. no1 listens over there.:(
Muslim_Queen u PM'd me i cant reply to ur PM cos im a new member. i wanted to know if Baby was from Dina or Jhelum? if i know where she's from then i can ask around. i would really appreciate if you gave me a reply. thanx for ur help. :)
how about taking your own makeup with you and asking the makeup artist to use it?
this way, you make sure it matches your skin tone and complements you, you don't have to rely on their makeup supply, you'll love the colours and if there are any touchups required, you can easily make them yourself cos you'll have your supplies right there. personally, im anal about these things, so it seems good from a hygiene point of view as well :p
and before you go, maybe pay a visit to the local Mac counter and ask them for a lesson in applying your own bridal makeup? just as a backup and so when you're fully made up, you can see if its done properly, or if theres less/more touching up/toning down needed and do it yourself. its always good to be in control of these situations. Mac in Canada are really good and I believe its about $40 for a lesson but its well worth it if it gives you peace of mind! you could also contact local UK makeup artists and ask for a lesson from them. Or, if your budget allows it, fly them in with you, set them up with your fam during the wedding, they can do your bridesmaides, moms, and you, and then you're really set with the whole thing. im sure they'd love the experience as well!
also, pictures! take pictures with you of bridal makeup you love. visual aids will go a long, long way in conveying what you want.
good to see some one here from dina, me also from dina n yah got married there.
I know its very hard when u hear all of these gud beaty parlours in islamabad n lahore but it very hard to go there on that day.
My wedding was also in august. (extreme hot weather)
No never ever go to any beautition from dina they will make u pestry,

tulip is the best hall in jhelum( the staff in tulip are abit pervy)

I would recommend Splender in Jhelum. The owner used to work in Lahore before she came to Jhelum. She is really good in doing makeup. They have their own photographer who takes really awsome pics right after ur done with putting ur makeup on. I strongly recommend it. Good luck with planning the wedding .May u have a great marriage:)
another question i have, does anyone know wher u can buy
Unze style wedding slippers/sandals?
i was going to buy them from here and take them to Pak.
but then i read on a different thread that u can get same style
from Pak and obviously they're cheaper.
i might be doing my wedding shopping from Lahore. so any shops in Lahore selling Unze style footwear??
If your in Jhelum
Splendour Lady/ Morning glory both are excellent u'll def like both of them
n i believe both have photographers who take excellent photos with nic eback drops..........
a lot of my family brides have been done by these and the results are brilliant!!!
Definitely book them as they are very popular within jhelum.
