Help Desk

Salaam all,

I had an interview with Nestle yesterday..and if I make it to the second interview, I will be having an interview in French–probably running through some help desk scenarios. So I was wondering what sorts of things do help desk personnel come across if they are providing first level support on MS Office applications as well as proprietary software?

There could be alot of different questions! I remember alot of my first help desk level questions were very simple and dumb.

My computer isnt turning on what should i do?
My computer keeps freezing!
My printer wont print!
I cannot log into my account, i dont have access to this!
My internet is not working! etc.. etc...

I am sure alot of people would know how to use MS OFFICE applets, so i
doubt ull get people asking you how to asign macros etc.. its mostly going to be technical etc... But again that depends on what applets and O/S ur going to be supporting for Nestle.

Apparently for the most part it is MS Office...I'm not sure if they'll be questions on Macros..

I guess the tough part is working in french. They're going to test my proficiency and see if its at the level that they require

If you were a french speaking canadian and had good knowledge of computers, and some qualifications, then you can get a VERY well paid job up here. Alot of jobs these days posted on canadian websites are mostly for bilingual positions. Well anywayz, i hope you know your french well enough so you can do your job! :)
