HELP ! CD Burn for Car Audio

I burned quite a few CD’s with 998 selected verities from Napster. The format is Mp3.
These cd’s don’t play in my Car. I don’t want to change the player for this..

What can I do to change their format for + Car use..any one please ??
Thanks

looks like u don't have MP3/WMA car stereo. u might have the regular CD player which plays CD formats only. Some of the first generation CD players don't even play a copied CD or CD-RW.

THere are players available in the market which play MP3/WMA/WAV besides CD-R/RW formats. Most of them are coming with Text Display (name of the song) Organic Display (downloadable pics can be displayed) and XM sattelite radio tuners built in.

JVC has just came up with DVD player as car stereo, which not only plays DVD/DVD-RW but MP3/WMA/WAV/DAT/CDI/CD-RW and all the aforementioned features as well. Imagine DVD player playing your MP3/WMA songs.

Average MP3 song = 5 MB (approx 1600 MP3 songs on one 8GB DVD)
Average WMA song = 1.2 MB (approx 6000 WMA songs on one 8GB DVD)

All we will need is just one DVD :D

^^ so my 98 accord cd player is writeoff,:bummer:
that mp3 dvd sounds good, and good for RV’ing,:hehe:
Thanks bro,

convert songs to wav and burn 'em on a CD...u'll only get b/w 12 - 16 songs on avg per CD...thats the regular CD format btw...so it should play on a regular CD player

What program your using to burn the CD's?

yep convert the mp3 CDs to WMA CDs, also make sure to burn them on CD-R and not CD-RW. Some car stereos cant read CD-RW either.

^^ CD-RW won’t work either. It has to be CD-R. But how can I convert
mp3 to wav. I have this software on home pc xp-home. neva even used it yet. So I’m guessing it has the capability of conversion…
DM,yeh 1-12 regular songs are ok,can you also give me steps to conversions,if you don’t mind,:stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you so much guys..

If you're using Nero as CD writer software then it has option to burn 'Audio CD'. Select that option and choose the MP3/WAV/WMA/CDI...any audio file and it will convert automatically into the Audio CD format (CDA).

Remember the conversion differneces.

5mb mp3 format song = 70mb CDA format (approx)

So in real only 12-14 songs can be compiled in CDA format on a 700 MB/80 MIN CD-R.

All other CD burner software can convert the MP3/WAV into CDA if you select create a Audio CD option. I believe.

www.download.com has many CDA<->MP3/WMA/WAV free converters.

Raindance what software you have already installed? Roxio Easy CD Creator? if not then download a freeware from the site smooth_guy mentioned.

I have “Ahead software InCD” may b came with xp I guess.

^^ Thanks guys , you rock:k:
