My cousin's recpetion was held in Al Boom, I think they have 2 or 3 ballrooms, and the reception took place in one of the biggest one;s there.
Thier hall was amazing!!! the stage was very beautifully deocrated and the hall was huge!!!!!!!!! really!! i think it could fit in 2000 ppl easily!! and even the food was very nice. Don't really know where Trader's hotel is though.

A lot of ppl in dubai have their reception at Ibrahimi Palace Hotel as well. Typical Paki food and very yumm!! U can consider that.

For photogrophers, there's a company called BLAX.They're the best in the UAE market but are quite expensive. My cousin's weddingp ics came out amazing!!

Sorry can't really comment on the make up artisits here or any beauty parlours.
I've heard Splendour Beauty Parlor owned by Malini Ohri is nice, I think they're located in Satwa. Give them a call and check whether they offer trial makeup sessions or not?

Bridal makeup in Shj/Dubai

Hi,

I was supposed to get married in the US, but now the venue has shifted to Sharjah. I need help in finding bridal salons in the area. I know that there is Depilex and others, but I'm not sure how good they are. Do they provide trials, what and whom should I look out for, and most importantly, I need them to come to my hotel to do the makeup until I get to the hall..

I know that this has been discussed before, so if anyone can find me the thread I would really appreciate it (I'm searching myself). I hope Gina reads this...

There are a couple of independant MUA's.. I can PM u their contacts.. u can talk to them and ask for trails etc :)

Thanks, Gina. Waiting for your PM. BTW, on a personal experience level, do MUA's get annoyed if asked questions regarding hygiene, products/brands, and also if I have an idea of how I would like my make up to look?

Don't even think about having another makeup artist if your wedding is anywhere near the place where 'Gina' can do her magic. If she can't do it, go to the one she recommends.

I really don't want to look further than 'Gina' but here are a few parlours I found in Sharjah and Dubai. I haven't gone to them personally so I don't know the prices and such. Happy Planning!

I did once or twice Vital.. but it's not right posting pics of real brides. I do however have a portfolio I'd be happy to show u Inshallah. The reason I don't commit to makeup is because of my mother's health.. which isn't constant :(
