I think imran has just wrote here a translation of the quranic verse which has almost the same meaning that Allah (SWT) is beautiful and loves beauty and it has nothing to do with is personal meeting.
Yeah, Certainly this is either a verse or a hadith. I agree with it.
Mr.PG, Every verse or hadith doesn’t have exact literal meaning. You have to go into the metaphorical meanings. This doesn’t mean that Allah has a very pretty face and stuff like that (Na-aouzabillah) but you have to take other meanings. For example your actions can be beautiful.
