We are talking of a country where the US allegedly defeated Taliban 15 years ago. Not very long ago Taliban took control of kunduz albeit shortly and now Helmand is in danger of falling into their hands. A short while ago as per Taliban they have killed 19 NATO soldiers near bagram airbase, this is the short story of US success story in Afghanistan.
So Pakistan is stronger than the whole NATO combined?
the thing that we see is that where ever the west have interfered, the situation has only deteriorated. How would people in India like if US tries to change regime there? The history shows us what happened in Vietnam, and the Middle East (where there was no Pakistan).
I did see that UK forces (spec ops?) have also been deployed to helmand.
I don't know why US Dept of Agriculture didn't invest in providing drought resistant seeds for wheat, soy etc after DEA / US army would have destroyed all the poppy crops. Millions of dollars of revenue is at stake here.
