I think almost every single person say ‘Hello’ while answering phone no matter he/she belongs to which country and speak what language.

It was Thomas Edison who put hello into common usage. He urged the people who used his phone to say “hello” when answering. His rival, Alexander Graham Bell, thought the better word was “ahoy.” Ahoy?
“Ahoy,” it turns out, had been around longer — at least 100 years longer — than hello. It too was a greeting, albeit a nautical one, derived from the Dutch “hoi,” meaning “hello.” Bell felt so strongly about “ahoy” he used it for the rest of his life.

I heard that hello is related to “hell”
an effort by non Muslims to deplete “Salam”

Hello to hum kissi ajnabi ko awaz lagane ,uska dhyan apni taraf khichne bhi use kerte hain

Mujeh nahi pata ke ‘hello’ itna common kiyon hy. Buhat km pplz hain jo ' kehtain hain magar majority hello, allo, hi, hay etc., hi use karatain hain.

hello boht kam hi kehte suna hai

• hello kehne wale muslims non muslims ki nisbat ziyada hi hain if m not mistaken
