Other than my collection of antique millitaria and a small stash of jewellry and clothes there are two prized possesions which consist of a handwritten copy of the Quran from the late 18century and a standard with lavishly embroidered Islamic verses and patterns.
Oh I forgot to mention besides the gold, I also have some more ingots of wootz and three of steel and four of wrought iron. They might be lumps of metal but i prize them like gold for they have greater value for me than gold.

My dad has a store room full of stuff from his family in Pakistan. Pictures, letters, certificates, crockery and everything else you can imagine.
I remember routing through it as a child, can't wait to go back and rediscover all of it :))
I love the idea of heirlooms and passing something down, not neccessarily extravagant or expensive just something as a gift, there's so muc history attached to every piece, it's humbling.
