HEC allows two universities to launch PhD programmes Staff Report
ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has allowed two universities to start PhD programmes. The Islamabad Federal Urdu University will launch a PhD programme in Economics and the Government College University (GCU) in Faisalabad will launch MPhil and PhD programmes in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry…
How many people in Pakistan actually look forward to sending their children to Pakistani universities when hardly any of them are recognised internationally?
Re: HEC allows two universities to launch PhD programmes
We don’t need any internationally recognized universities. Our Bhuttos, Sharifs, Qazis and civil/military officers have enough resources to send their kids abroad. Why waste money in Pakistan?
Re: HEC allows two universities to launch PhD programmes
Mr Dragon,
many would like to send their childern to These universities! they may have been bit out paced with international structure of education. Almost all the degrees get accepted by international universities. only difference that corp up is we have 2 years bachelor degrees, which is being changed to 3 years now. professional degrees were already accepted by international bodies because these were 4 years long always.
many people dont get chance get to universities only because there are very few seats available.
Dont just start bashing without actually knowing about it.
