I’m travelling to London from Toronto to visit my SIL at the end of May. I found flights are cheaper when going to Gatwick Airport instead of Heathrow. My SIL lives in Middlesex…is there any difference in distance or quality of the two airports?

Heathrow.
More trains, more accessible .... and it is much closer to where your SIL is.

Heathrow, tube to Middlesex (depending where, can I guess Edgware?) much easier, plus I love Heathrow airport!

what about cheap flights? I found one for around $850 (this included taxes, fees..all that crap)...it was the cheapest i could find for the dates that im going.

Afshi, $850 for the summer is a great price these days.
Air Transat normally has the cheapest flights. Not great service, but price wise most economical.
Sign up on their website for last minute deals.

If the difference in fare is really significant, I wouldn't mind the extra 1 1/2 hours from Gatwick to Middlesex.
If it's just a couple of dollars though, I'd also go for Heathrow.

When are u going Afshi.... we'r planning for London too, but from USA...... plz let me know for some cheapest deals... i doubt i'll find any for the summer season. (im sure it'll be expensive) but hope i can find some cheap flight.
