Is it possible to go into the main airport of Heathrow if I’ll be taking a connecting flight from there? I’m going to have a few hours to kill so I want to meet up with some relatives but I don’t know if I can leave the Gate area. I’ve tried looking it up online and on Heathrow’s website but can’t find any information on it.
Anybody here know?

friend of mine had a few hrs to kill at heathrow on the way back from qatar...they just stamped his passport and let him leave, told him to come back an hr b4 the flight leaves...

Cause I'm not taking the British one. We're getting the Hajj and Pakistan visas issued on our Canadian passports cause the Saudi Consulate won't accept our British ones. So rather than travelling with both, we're just taking the Canadian one ... I just wanted to know if I could leave the gate area of Heathrow or not. :p
