I just heard too. I'm surprised by the genuine sadness I'm feeling. Eventhough he's a stranger, I'm sad the world has lost someone so young and talented.

I remember him from 10 things I hate about you, that was the first movie I saw of his. Very sad... he died so young. :(

Sad. In a recent interview he said he felt good about dying because he could go on living though his little girl.
His joker character looks fantastic in the upcoming Batman film.

Wow, he was literally an actor that was 2 years away from becoming one of those actors that cares about his films rather than making money. He played some serious and tough roles that people didn't think he could pull off. At first he looked like those actors that will only be profitable with teenagers (Freddie Prince Jr.) but he really came into his own the last few years.
I must say, I thought he was going to be the next Johnny Depp in terms of doing different stuff and always pushing the boundaries.

Very sad news indeed. He was a pretty good actor and i was looking forward to his character of the Joker in the The Dark Knight, but i don't how people are going to react.

It is very shocking and sad... u'd xpect to hear this abt someone else, but not someone who came across as so dignified and cool as him.

Really sad to hear about this. Heath was not only a promising actor, but one of those celebrities who was humble and down to earth about his fame. Never in a controversy never in a news related to drugs or partying. Ledger in his later years became one of critically acclamied actors. Its not fair to his daughter, family, fans...
It's just a tragic news. May his soul rest in peace.
