Im contemplating getting heated rollers, anyone currently use them?
I have very straight, fine hair couple of inches above my waist. I don’t like the ‘artificial’ look one gets with tongs and im no good with straighters so I’m thinking about getting the rollers. I would like to somewhat achieve curls + volume, not the ‘wavy look’.
I invested in heated rollers and lemme tell u.. was one of the BEST things ive ever done..
I have very fine hair which has like NO volume.. so if im going to a dawat or a party I just start up the rollers.. and in like 20-30 minutes I have hair that has soo much volume and oomph that it makes me wana curl my hair permanently.. but i like my hair frizzy and straight.. easier to do things with..
oh btw it does take time to put the rollers in so the 20-30 mins is after the rollers are FINALLY on my head!
If you have never purchased rollers before, invest in a smaller set. Don't go all out and buy an expensive one with 30 rollers! Start with a smaller set, try it a few times and see how you feel, whether or not you like the look and if you really want to/can invest the time you need to use them.
If you feel good about them, buy what you feel you need -- a bigger set, better brand etc.
I have naturally curly hair - even so, I own a set! haha..
Thanks guys for the advice, I think i'll buy them at the weekend...
Y.P - I was thinking the same, I have seen a 20 roller set Thats probably the one I am going to purchase, as my hair is pretty thin I doubt I would need anymore...
Also do you guys use any product before setting the rollers?
^ Use a heat protectant spray before you put hot rollers in. You don't want to damage your hair. Always use such sprays since they protect your hair to some extent -- whether you're curling your hair or straightening it. You can find a whole host of different sprays probably the same place you're getting roller from.
