Heartbreak

Re: Heartbreak

You don't. You just wither away......and become this shell of a person......until you die.

Lol, I'm not mocking you. I'm kidding although the above situation can very well happen. Ok, more seriously, as cliche as it sounds, time does decrease the intensity of the heartache. It's important to keep yourself busy and while it's good to talk about your feelings and get them out of your system, dwelling on them for too long is counterproductive to moving on. Plus it depends upon the situation that led to the heartbreak as well. In some cases, the person you were interested in may not have been good for you...and focusing on the problems in the relationship can help you put things in perspective and even realize that it's better to move on to better people.

Re: Heartbreak

meh i start cleaning like crazy :/ my mom always knows when im heartbroken hahah

Re: Heartbreak

I was thinking of creating a mausoleum. A big glass structure right in the middle of the living room. Make anyone who visits pay their respects.

Oh cruel world!
But yeah, distraction until time has had a chance to wrought its magic sounds good. Thanks, redvelvet.

maham87, cleaning, as opposed to wallowing, gotcha.

Re: Heartbreak

time is the biggest healer

Re: Heartbreak

Get a weeping angel. But remember, don't take your eyes off of it.

Ben & Jerry's

Re: Heartbreak

Korn666, :)

Partyslims, Ha! Brilliant. But as the Doctor said, the eyes are the doors to the soul; if I have to keep them open all the time then someone might sneak in.

Cutegurl, another vote for ice cream, hmm, should I be investing in ice cream shares?

Re: Heartbreak

tried and tested remedy:
Pray to Allah/God and ask for peace of heart
always works for me
p.s. added bonus is that some times your heart gets unbroken na

Re: Heartbreak

you don't.

you just learn to live with a broken heart.

Re: Heartbreak

Simply Seema, nah, no point in bothering the higher powers with my trivia; especially not when I can bother you all with it instead. Muahahaha.

AuntyNumber1, booo! That sounds terribly sad and not at all fun.:(

Re: Heartbreak

ever heard the Urdu proverb, Sach kaRva Hota Hay?

addendum: how can you Ever "get over" someone you truly loved?

Re: Heartbreak

I don't know how you can get over loss, I was hoping you would tell me that a little bit superglue would do the trick.

Re: Heartbreak

topo, there's no superglue. it's like an open wound. forever.

Re: Heartbreak

you think if you loved person A, you can simply forget about A and move on to person B and start loving B?
i think not.

Re: Heartbreak

Take B out of the picture, not even a consideration. The question is how do you deal with the loss of A.
It sounds like you have suffered, would you share your story Auntynumber1? I'd understand if you don't want to.

Re: Heartbreak

you deal with the loss of A by learning to live with a broken heart.

wow, i said this already in my first post :D hehe...

Khair, you don't recover really. It's like one of those life-long things. like diabetes. i kid you not.

Re: Heartbreak

i threw in B there coz having B there might make one feel better. but that still doesn't mean you are over A. or your heart is "unbroken"

Re: Heartbreak

How do you learn to live with it? Specifically how do you deal with the symptoms, just time and distraction?
My dalek was an unanticipated pleasure; I never expected to get as much joy out of it as I did, 'tis hard to move on after experiencing such happiness.
I have to go now, train to catch, but just want to quickly say: I'm sorry for your suffering, I hope someday your heart can find a measure of peace.

Re: Heartbreak

Hey, thanks, nah I'm fine totally. I'm just saying, the memories cannot go away and still tug at you if you're heartbroken, and the heart doesn't ever get unbroken.

Since the element causing the heartbreak isn't like in-your-face anymore :D... you just kind of get on with your life :--)

With you - unanticipated pleasure that ended - you should just thank God that it came to you in the first place? all good things bring pleasure. and many of them end.

Re: how to unbreak: Let everything happen naturally...see how you feel with time

Have a good ride!

Trusting in Allah and thinking that He does what is best for us, also helps :--)
