This is a bit embarrassing but i had to ask someone.
From past few weeks i been having awkward feelings. Each time i am pray my mind is always wondering about something else. When i am doing sajdha my heart is not there. I have to force my heart to listen to my mind as it reads each and every word of Salaah!
I believe in Him. I have asked him for forgiveness too. I feel horrible when my heart is not there.
But i cant seem to bring my heart in my prayers. I have no idea whats wrong with me ; this is so not me.
Alhumduilalh i even prayed Tahajut and use to wake up on my own. Sadly now i dont get up until its 7 am. I shared this with my mom she was shocked and literally freaked out.
Well ! we all know how parents are.
What i am asking brothers and sisters, i knew this sister who use to read some ayaah from Quran Shareef to keep her nafs in contorl. Unfortunatley i lost her contact number dont even know where she is.
Everytimei prayed i had a picture of Khana kaba in front of me or words of Salah floating infront of my eyes. Now i cant seem to picture it.
Your mind is preoccupied with other thoughts hence you will not be able to concentrate.
You should sit and do vird for a good hour or so just so you get in the gist of it and back on track.
Imagination is a gift given to us by Allah, use it! When you are in prayer or sajda remember that you are only an arms length away from Him as he had made it clear when Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) made his journey past Sidra tul Muntaha (the point where only he has been and no other being has had the pleasure of doing so).
Make sure you know the meaning of what you are reciting, that helps a lot.
its tough nia...v all have the same problem...i dont think anyone has 100% concentration in prayers...dont worry, just keep trying Allah saath de ga inshallah :)
I believe, realization, and admission of a shortcoming, accompanied by honest efforts to overcome it, are the most important steps towards regaining your concentration. And also do remember, that we are not angels, and just because we cannot achieve the state that we wish to achieve, doesnt mean we dont get credit for it, so long as we make honest attempts towards it.
tasbeeh of lahol and durood is good too and remember:
"Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah. for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction.
Ar-Ra’d (The Thunder) [13:28]
think about it if whatever is happening is due to events and circumstances and environment u face most of the time? if u get the answers to those, u will Insha ALLAH be able to understand what wrong has gone with you..
and yes! remember! as i said before coming to the conclusion that what u are doing is not right is in it of itself is a sign of guidance from ALLAH.. HE is not leaving u alone.. He is guiding you… Be thankful to him…
spending in the way of ALLAH also helps in buliding the light of iman in the hearts..
