From my husband : i was at my parents’ and he showed up unannounced. I was on the phone with him and all of a sudden i hear the knocker go, both on the phone and outside the door and he says wont you open the door for me? I was sooo like → :eek: He had only told my parents that he was coming over and was telling me he was out grocery shopping (he was 5 hours of a drive away) :smiley:

If I have to do total justice with this question, my answer would be quite obvious, that is Allah (swt). I am sure, like for everyone else Allah gives heart warming surprises every day even to an ordinary muslim like me who has yet to prove himself a deserving "Ummatee" of the Prophet (saw).

one day my parents just showed up at my room for one hour. A total of four hours drive just to make sure I was good.

You are right. I actually meant to say that I have to try my level best to obey Allah's orders. Ofcourse Allah knows, but I can't leave all the good deeds and start following nafs, just by considering that Allah knows everything.

Obvious would be Allah of course.

I have several incidents of different people, but I remember once when my dad was out of the country and he had called just the day before to see how we were doing. I was in the kitchen doing something and Ammi was in the bedroom. Anyway, the kitchen door was open and all of a sudden Daddy comes walking through the door. lol. I almost dropped what was in my hands.

When Ammi saw him she screamed and ran to give him a big hug and kiss. It was such a nice surprise, especially seeing Ammi's reaction. hehe. Mash'Allah.

may each one of us's parents remain a content couple.
also, psychologically this observation impacts children in a positive way, when parents are loving and caring for each other, it is one strong thing that makes us become loving and caring as well, when we grow in to the roles of spouses.
