We often read alot about it … but I am more keen to find out what we know if it through our friends who have experienced it … and how people around them reacted ( medically ) to save their life …
did they realize it in time that its a heart attack , what kind of medical help did they seek? was the patient taken to hospital in time .. were the symptoms caught easily .. etc
Re: Heart Attack - The symptoms
A travelling pain on the left arm is a symptom.
Re: Heart Attack - The symptoms
I remember , my father and my FIL both underwent similar symptoms .. indigestion ... cold sweat ..
For a good hour and a half no one could tell that its heart attack ... not until in dad's case he vomitted and fainted , was taken to hospital and thats when the doctor said he was having a cardiac arrest ...
In FIL's case , he fainted in the market , people tried to bring him back into consciousness someone called an ambulance and they realized it was a HA .. and took him to hospital ..
Re: Heart Attack - The symptoms
I have recently learnt that the HA symptoms really are just so varied and you can very well have a HA without any of the obvious symptoms :(. So it really is very tricky! There are couple of things all of us should know which can help control the affects of the attack like the use of the tablet angised, making the patient take long breaths, loosentight clothes, chest pumpsetc etc.
Re: Heart Attack - The symptoms
True Zareen , I think the first step is recognizing that the person is actually having a heart Attack ... msot people fail to realize and keep thinking its merely an indigestion ... Question is at what point we must we know that it could be something serious and medical attention is needed ?
