Re: Healthy ways to cook gobi
you just want to cook cauliflower alone? do you like mixing it with other veggies..like peas, potatoes or brocolli?
i usually cook cauliflower in karahi..i add masalas first..like salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder..then add cauliflower..let it simmer in water for a while..once its almost done..then i add tomatoes or tomato paste at the end.
Re: Healthy ways to cook gobi
I don't mind adding stuff to the gobi....I just saw a nice one at the store and I picked it up.
Qrius, do you add oil? and how much?
Re: Healthy ways to cook gobi
Make a masala of onions, tomatoes , peppers, salt, mirchi etc in a bit of oil. Then add the gobi and steam cook it.
Re: Healthy ways to cook gobi
You can roast cauliflower in the oven too. I usually lay out the florets on a baking sheet and spray it with a little oil and then sprinkle with salt, rosemary and paprika.

Zabardast :p
Gobi in stir fry is good, but nothing beats gobi and aloo, yummy.
Re: Healthy ways to cook gobi
what would you eat that with??
Re: Healthy ways to cook gobi
^^ with some yogurt
great for when you are dieting :D
Re: Healthy ways to cook gobi
the rule is not to over fry the gobi, so when the masala is made, add the aloo gobi, fry for 2-3 mins and then add a little water and let it steam cook on low heat,
that way u get the benefit of having a cooked handi, and healthy vegetables!!(as the individual veggies can b seen in this type of cooking)
if u need further detail............
