Healthy snacks

Re: Healthy snacks

sweet yogurt(the 90 calories ones) with a litte granola on top can be really filling and healthy

Take some low-fat yogurt and mix it till it's smooth. Add finely chopped onion, diced tomatoes, diced boiled tomatoes, and chickpeas (from the can) to the yogurt. You can add/omit the boondi. Season with salt, chili powder, garam masala according to taste.

You can make something similar without the yogurt. Like an aloo chaat (use one small potato), add some kidney beans, chick peas, tomatoes, seasonings (according to taste), some lemon juice, etc.

I also like hummus with break/pita chips/veggies.

I recent bought the Pepperidge Farm deli flats.....round pieces of flat bread...and 2 of them are a total of only 100 calories. Haven't tried it yet though, but I plan to make it tonight for dinner. I'm gonna try out one of the recipes from the website.
