Guriya’s is having a Grand maa day at school and her Grand Maa is the one invited from her class . They have asked to bring healthy snacks for kids and have requested Grand Maas to emphasis on healthy eating & explain it’s importance.
Ideas in my mind are :
a) Chicken nuggets
b) Dry Fruit Bowl (with almonds , pistachio & Figs etc)
c) Vegetable salad ( carrots & cucumber cut and placed separately in a plate)
d) Home made sponge cake (without icing)
Please remember I do not want to send anything that is messy or requires fork or spoon , will just be sending paper plates with the food items and most importantly I will have max an hour in the morning to prepare everything and drop the grand maa and the grand daughter at school by 7:45 am.

Do Trail Mix!!!
It’s basically a mixture of dried fruits and nuts and chocolate chips or M&M’s. You can make a bag full and pour it in little cups for the kids. Just be careful to ask if kids have allergies to nuts…same with peanut butter below.
Veggies with dip.
Ants on a log. Take celery sticks. Spread peanut butter in the the sticks. Put raisins (ants) on top.

i don’t have time to make home made nuggets , I’ll be buying K & N’s fun nuggets which says no preservative , no trans fats and made from chicken breast. This is the best I can do !

oh I never deep fry nuggets … I just put them in a non stick frying pan and low flame. There is simply no need to fry them and by just cooking them on low heat they become more softer & juicier.

If its about healthy eating then pls dont take k&n nuggets or any frozen packaged food.
make chicken kebabs at home instead.
the dry fruit and veggie salad idea is good.
another healthy options can be fresh fruits in yogurt, chicken n cheese sandwiches, finger fish.

Don’t do chicken, cut fruit, yogurt etc.. Anything that requires refrigeration is a no no unless you are sending it in a cooler with ice packs.
Trail mix is a great idea unless there are nut allergies.. How about pita and hummus? Carrot stics with hummus? It’s just a snack so don’t over do it..they will have their lunch later

My from my experience kids are very picky. Apples, strawberries, and grapes are almost always a hit with some crackers. I won’t go with nuggets, breads, sandwiches, etc.
