not sure if there is a similar thread, but im really running out of ideas for both Iftar and Sehri.
just the thought of food is now making my stomach turn so bored with the samosa, pakora, spring roll, chaats, parata etc etc, thats not to say that we only what i have listed!! but im feeling worse for wear today
please share some light and healthy food that can be eaten that is not going to leave me hungry either.
I love making shami burgers for Iftab. I fry the shami and egg in barely any oil, and then layer it with onions, green mint chutni, some mustard in the burger. Not really healthy and diet stuff but way better and filling than the fried pakoras etc. Sometimes I marinate some boneless chicken cubes, steam them and then layer them on shashlick sticks with capsicum. These can be frozen easily and just before iftar, fry them in a tbsp of oil.
Mizsani I baked pakoras today, they were pretty decent, the only issue I see is that they were not crisp from outside. I am thinking that next time I will reduce the temp and cook them few mins longer.
It is too late now , Ramzan is almost over, will share some brand new ideas next year inshallah.
We have so much left overs that we might not need to make anything new for rest of Ramzan.
