Healthy Eating...Hmmmm...

Well, in the US I am noticing a trend for the past few years of trying to be healthy. Eating healthy, exercising, activity, watching your weight, etc. I think its affected all of us to a certain degree.

How do you manage to incorporate health and wellness into your lifestyle? What do you do that makes you feel like you have acheived a balance?

I used to be better about the exercising. I have to get back on track with that....at least on the weekends cuz I'm so exhausted by the time I get home from work. Hopefully, when school lets out for the summer, I'll have more time to work out.

But as far as healthy eating is concerned, for the past several months I've included fruit and salad as part of my daily diet. I'll take to work..cubed melons for snack and a salad of baby spinach/kidney beans/chick peas/tomatoes/cucumbers. I've cut the soda out...and am trying to incorporate green tea more regularly. Apart from that...I also eat chia seeds which are loaded in Omega-3 since I don't eat fish.

i included fresh juices n fruits n lots of water in my diet..........take breakfast n thn lunch in the evening no heavy dinner just a snack n stop eating before 2hrs of my sleep..............regular 30 min exercise in the morning n 60 min walk in the evening........... just strted this thng 2 weeks bck but finding myself v light these days.............happy wth my new lifestyle..............

I cut out all meat from my diet last year. Since then, I have to make a conscious effort to get my required nutrients. I make sure I get various different sources of proteins; nuts, beans, lentils, plenty of whole wheat etc.

The fat content in my food is usually very low. I have been incorporating more salads and fruits in my diet, but not enough.

Trying to drink lots of water and I am eating breakfast everyday.

I really need to start working out and eat more fruits and veggies. I don't eat as much as I should.

I'm someone who skips meals a lot and will snack instead. If I have a proper breakfast, lunch and dinner then I will like I am eating healthily. Also I drink plenty of water - and that makes my skin glow so in turn makes me feel great.

I try to eat a healthy balance of everything and never starve myself of certain foods because that makes me crave them even more. Everything in moderation can make up part of a healthy diet. I try to walk a lot as well and this means that I don't have to go to the gym. :)

Summers are when I get gung ho about fitness.

For the rest of the year, I try to walk, balance eating healthy. I try to incorporate exercise in whatever i do. Walking, doing chores around the house. I eat 3 raw fruits and 3 vegetables a day. It keeps me full and then I don't eat too much of the bad stuff
