Right now my breakfast consists of a cup of tea with rusk, a slice of coffee cake/pumpkin pie, blueberry pie or something like that and thats it!
I have been told to eat a healthy breakfast but I usually don’t have any time at all in the morning to prepare a fancy healthy breakfast.. what can I make in lets say 10-15 mins and is considered healthy?
I am thinking about boiling some eggs and storing them in the refrigerator to make a sandwich in the morning but of course I can’t do that everyday so what are other ideas?
the fastest thing in such cases for me is some salsa, fresh rather than packaged stuff although that works too. throw that in the frying pan and then add the eggs, scramble, put on low heat, go about getting other things ready, maybe wholegrain toast
some back flip the eggs, let it sit for a bit and you are done.
you can toss in fresh ingredients like mushrooms, avocado, bell peppers which should take no time
the laziest breakfast eggs for me are scrambled eggs sprinkled after cooking with some tobasco for some kick.
good ideas especially the salsa one.. cutting onions tomoatoes etc in the morning is such a chore!
I love chobani and that is my 10'o clock snack..blueberry n pomegranate are my favorites but for some reasons I just can't eat them for breakfast.. I want something filling because I usually wake up starving!
Set up the breakfast ingredients and preparation station and equipment in the night . For example you can make the pan cake batter in the night also cut up the fruit topping and set the skillet/pan on the stove in the night in the morning all you have to do is pour the better in the pan and viola the will be ready in a jiffy.
For scrambled eggs or omelets you can do the same.
1) I make granola at home it is very handy just pop in the bowl put milk/soya milk/almond milk have a fruit
2) make quick packet wale quick oats, in microwave, the only thing I don't like is the high sugar content, else is good fibre iron wagerah
3) a quick egg with salt and pepper, on english muffin, with a slice of non-processed cheese. You can add tobasco, ketchup whatever you like to spruce it up.
4) a multigrain-wholegrain bagal with light cream cheese.
5) two slices of thick wholegrain bread toasted with any fruit preserve of your choice ( I love strawberry and pear) or nut butter of your choice.
These are pretty generic types of breakies too, you can make these in a jiffy.

I am addicted to chobani- love the pomegranate version

i agree with mirch about making the basic preparation the night before.
how about a fruit smoothie? you can take it out with you and it'll be healthy too :)
