Healthy activities for kids?

Hi everyone!

Am going to be looking after my niece and nephews for a couple of days starting next week. I was wondering if you have any advise re fun and healthy activities for kids aged 9-10? They have a pool at home, so I guess there’s a great possibility that taking them swimming is out of the list. It would be great if you can share some other ideas.

Oh and I also found an article about tennis, dancing, soccer for kids in this site, http://www.fitness-health-talk.com/ , while I was reading about taking care of kids. You might want to read about it if you have some time to spare.

Been ages since I last saw my niece and nephew so I am pretty excited to be their chaperone for a week :))

Re: Healthy activities for kids?

Playing and running around is probably the best. I remember when I was young I saw something on tv about people not exercising and the health effects and, being the concerned young citizen I was, I asked my dad if I needed to exercise. He told me that playing was exercise and that just blew my mind lol.

So yeah, playing and sports would be good. Kids can run around all day but the minute they have to walk somewhere they'll start whining like crazy.
