I had been wanting to open up a thread about healthy snacks for a while and after SGC’s thread about unhealthy snacks,I’d just do it..!
What are your kids’ favorite and preferred snacks..?
I have a 2.5 year old who happens to be a picky eater and often goes on self-imposed hunger strikes as she pleases.She actually gags on bananas and most of the sweet stuff so most fruit she does not enjoy or want.She has not had bread of any kind since she started soilds and all attempts at her making having a toast or sandwich have failed.
I need ideas for more snacks because I am mostly left wondering what she can have.Her favorites keep varying and stuff she has in between actual meals (which are roti/rice with salan) include some sort of pasta (with cheese or tomato sauce or veggies),raw veggies (cucumbers or baby carrots),steamed veggies (broccoli,carrots,corn),these days strawberries are a hit,very rarely she will nibble on an apple,also loves almonds and raisins.
Sometimes I make her french fries or chicken nuggets but I do not want it to be a routine for obvious reasons.
Cookies/crackers or for the time when we are out for long hours so that is also not a usual snack.
Any other ideas I can try ..??
